Dea is an Environmental Social Scientist who has always had a very active life as with dancing, horse riding and windsurfing just to name a few of her activities. She began as a Pilates student with Kristen and became fascinated by the techniques and effectiveness of Pilates. She has first-hand appreciation of the importance of alignment, balance and core strength.
Through observing the transformation of her own body and wellness through Pilates she became convinced that she wanted to share this with others. In 2011 Dea became certified by The Pilates Coach Method and has worked as an instructor since, at Kristen’s Studio and at other gyms and dance schools. To keep in-step with the broad spectrum of her client’s needs, she furthered her training through several workshops and courses on pre and post-natal Pilates by the Pilates Coach, foundation on healthy back by Bender Method, foundation on lower back pain and scoliosis by Stott Foundation, and Mat Pilates Classes Flow by BASI.
