Prenatal Workshop for future moms
Antenatal classes help you stay healthy during pregnancy, to prepare for labour and childbirth and give you the information and confidence to look after and feed your baby. They are also a great place to meet other parents-to-be. The idea is that you and your partner will acquire the skills and confidence needed to make birth a positive experience. The topics covered by antenatal classes are: Prenatal health in pregnancy including diet and exercise; information on labour and childbirth, different types of pain relief, breathing techniques and what else you can do to help; information about different birth interventions such as ventouse (suction cup) or forceps delivery.
Postnatal tips on caring for your new baby; breastfeeding; maternal health post-partum, emotions during pregnancy, birth and after; and the changes you might experience.
Also ask us about private home visits to support new mothers with breastfeeding and newborn care.
