Kristen has completed the STOTT PILATES® Injuries and Special Populations course where she has become skilled at addressing the broad range of physical challenges some clients may face. She is also trained in Functional Anatomy giving her an understanding of anatomical positions, planes of motion, types of movement and actions of joints, major muscle groups and individual muscle’s origin insertion and action, and the bones that make up the axial and appendicular skeleton.
She is also qualified to develop exercises for those with multiple sclerosis by the Mbodies Academy which formulated its specialist’s course in conjunction with the UK MS Society in 2014.
Whatever the client’s condition, challenges or issues, in consultation with their health practitioner, Kristen will develop a safe and appropriate Pilates programme and apply a rehabilitative approach based on current models of joint stability and functional anatomy.
